Adjunct professor of photography and coordinator of the Master Iuav in Photography

Andrea Pertoldeo is a photographer adjunct professor of photography at Iuav University of Venice and coordinator of the Master Iuav in Photography along with Stefano Graziani and Angela Vettese. He has worked for many years as Guido Guidi teaching assistant in the BA Vusual Arts at the same university. At the moment he is working for the Canadian Minister of Culture at the Venice Biennale Canada Pavillion, and for ’XJTLU – Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University, SIP – Dushu Lake Higher Education Town, Suzhou, PR China with a photographic project on the development of chinese middle class. He took part in several exhibitions and contemporary photography research project, among that:  Urbs oblivionalis. Urban spaces and terrorism in Italy at the 14th venice architecture Biennal, 2014 (curated by Elena Pirazzoli and Roberto Zancan). Along with Angela Vettese, Stefano Graziani and Amedeo Martegani he curated the Photography section at Artefiera 2017 and at Artefiera 2018 he has curated the galleries of Photo section. In 2017 his work Blue Dust – a book on the transformation of Bahrain desert landscape through a specific human condition – has been published by a+mbookstore editions. His photographs have been published in international magazines such as Aperture, Genda, Domus, Domus China, Domus Russia, Casabella, The Plan, AIT, Goya, Territorio, Arabian Design, Compasses.
